At CONFEBEL, we are makers of taste. With our recipes we create semi-finished confectionery products for bakeries, chocolatiers, and gelaterias around the world. From creamy spreadable pastes and rich fillings for chocolate to colorful gelato variegates topping and chocolate couverture, our goal is simple: to help professionals delight their customers.
Although our company was founded in 2012, the story goes back much further — to a family chocolate factory, established in 1979.
From Family Passion to Belgian Perfection
Confebel Story
The journey began with a family chocolate factory, built by the founder’s father in 1979. Despite challenges and setbacks, his perseverance and passion for chocolate allowed the business to thrive for decades, becoming a true symbol of resilience.
Growing up surrounded by the aroma of cocoa and melted chocolate, the founder learned the craft from the ground up. After completing his MBA studies, he pursued a successful career in Dubai, working for more than 15 years with international corporations. Yet, his passion for chocolate never faded.
In 2012, together with his wife and two little children, they took a bold step: to return to his roots, establish a chocolate and confectionery business, and follow his passion.
The company was first launched under the name Royal Gulf Chocolates, symbolizing a bridge between his professional experience in the Middle East Gulf region and Belgium. Over the years, it evolved into CONFEBEL—a name that perfectly embodies its mission by blending CONFEctionery and BELgium.
Today, CONFEBEL stands as a proud partner for professionals worldwide, carrying forward a legacy of heritage, innovation, and excellence.
